Publisher deals project: call for new members
Evidence Base has a limited number of places still available for the second round of the e-journal strand of the Publisher Deals project. The project is run in association with SCONUL's Working Group on Performance Improvement (WGPI) and is designed for UK higher education libraries.
The aim of the project is to assist libraries with the collection and analysis of publisher usage statistics for e-journal deals and then to complete a report for each deal in a format that can be used with library senior management to show trends and demonstrate value for money. Fourteen libraries took part in the first round and analysed usage statistics for up to six publisher e-journal NESLi2 deals, using templates, manuals and guidelines provided by Evidence Base. Completed reports from each library were made available on a secure web-site and summaries of key points were prepared for each publisher. This opportunity for benchmarking and sharing information is an important aspect of the project. Feedback from the first round has been extremely positive.
For further details and costs of the Publisher Deal e-journal project, please contact Angela Conyers at Evidence Base ([log in to unmask]). Although this project is for UK higher education libraries, we will also be pleased to hear from other libraries who are interested in working with us on a similar basis.
