I have been used to having to produce portfolios during my library
employment to gain progression (in fact at one time we had to produce an
annual one even if we didn't wish to progress but just stay as we were.)
In spite of this 'experience' I too have found - am still finding in
fact -the process of creating a chartership portfolio extremely
confusing.
I was pleased when examples were lodged on the CILIP website (and bless
those people who have offered theirs as one of the examples - they have
been very useful in gauging the standard required) but they are so
different in their structure and content, it is still difficult to know
what exactly CILIP requires in those respects.
I'm beginning to think the best thing would be to just go for it, submit
it, and wait to see if the feedback when it comes back offers any
enlightenment. If it were to be accepted I would treat that as a bonus!
Good luck to all fellow Charterers.
