You will help complete the development of new systems for the Highland Council's Historic Environment Record database, which holds over 40,000 records covering one third of the land mass of Scotland. You will be a key member of the project team managing the new software system, and will be responsible on a day to day basis for the management of the HER through this challenging phase. This will include ensuring the validity and accuracy of the data and its migration between the old and new systems and its efficient interaction with our existing GIS software. You will join a small team with a full and varied workload. You will be qualified to degree level in archaeology or similar, or IT, or GIS, with experience of working with databases and GIS, and a high level of proficiency and experience in computing.
