Yup, same here. In 1 year in South Australia I did 3 home visits - 2 were at
a nursing home.
[BTW, just out of interest, I've moved to Queensland now- SA is too bloody
cold and windy for most of the year - where I was at any rate. I would say
it is like 5-10 degC warmer than Essex except for high summer when the
northerly winds take it to over 40 degC. A lot brighter than Essex though,
but sub-tropical Qld should be a nice change.]

Same for me. Virtually all home visits are for palliative patients. I have
a post-polio patient whom I do see at home for urgent things (the rather
good HandyDart bus service that picks up disabled people from their homes
and takes them to wherever they wish to go needs two days notice) but I
expect him to come to the office for routine care. He is wheelchair bound
and requires a hoist to get him in and out of it but that would not be seen
as a reason to visit at home in Canada.
