WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITY
Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture, Middlesex University
We are seeking volunteers to assist with a museum cataloguing project this
summer.
MoDA has recently received AHRC funding for a project which will involve
preservation and cataloguing for approximately 3,000 original Silver Studio
designs. We require two students to help us increase accessibility to this
important material. You should have an interest in documentation, and
ideally a background in social history, design or art history.
Placements will take place during a ten week period between Monday 23 July
and Friday 28 September. This is a voluntary opportunity but a small daily
allowance is available for travel and subsistence.
Please download full details of the project from MoDA’s website
www.moda.mdx.ac.uk.
Closing date for applications is 5pm Friday 29th June.

The School of Art and Design was 4-rated in RAE 2001, and it has recently

appoint to two academic posts to enhance our present research and teaching
strengths and develop new areas in future.
Applicants for the post of Reader/SL in Art and Design (Theory and Practice)

relevant to the School’s research activities and groups; preference will be
given to candidates whose work is interdisciplinary in nature. It is
envisaged that applicants for this post may come from either a practice or

advanced connections between theory and practice.
Applicants for the post of Lecturer in Visual Culture must have a developed

Subject: Englishness
I have been given a reference to an article by Peter York apparently titled
'The Englishness of English Design', supposedly in Design Magazine but I
have been unable to find it. Any help in finding it would be greatly
appreciated.
Best wishes,
