An interesting application of Neil Smith's rent gap theory to gentrification
in Mumbai has been published in the city's leading periodical, the Economic
and Political weekly. I thought researchers working on Mumbai and cities in
the Global South would be interested.
Also in the article is a very grounded critique of Arjun Appadurai's work on
the city.
