The geometric mean not the arithmetic mean should be used when running
the CLEA statistics.

The sgv for lead already takes bio-accessibility into account as many
studies have been done that relate blood lead concentrations with
environmental exposure. The SGV uses a linear relationship between the
2 which has been questioned as some more recent studies have shown a non
linear relationship. (all this information is contained in the SGV
report)
Either way the fact the SGV already takes bio-accessibility (uptake)
into account it can be assumed that for lead that any site failing the
SGV is a SPOSH site.
Also CLEA UK, SNIFFER and RISK 4 cannot be used to calculate a SSAC as
Lead is calculated using a different methodology due to the in depth
level of studies on the effects of lead on human health and its uptake.

If its Lead we're talking about (as per the original query), then you
should remember that the SGV is calculated as being the level above
which the blood lead level is unacceptable (i.e. its unlike all the
other SGVs in being a lot better for Part IIA purposes).
.... unless you make it vague again by mentioning bioaccessibility, but
that's another story...

what concentrations are we talking about and therefore what is the basis
for determining SPOSH? remember th recent guidance which confused the
issue, whoch indicated that a failure of a SGV was may not necessarily
be suffcient to meet the definition of SPOSH and therefore make a Part
IIA determination, so proceed with care.
but in answer to uour question, no, i can't help otherwise.
