MHRA Research Associate (Part time)
£21,050 - £25,889 per annum pro rata
A Research Associate is required to work with Professor Pamela Clemit of
Durham University on The Letters of William Godwin (Oxford University
Press). Professor Clemit is the recipient of a 3 year Leverhulme Major
Research Fellowship. The researcher will be funded by the MHRA for a period
of 12 months on a 0.5 contract from October 1st 2007. The researcher will be
a member of the English Studies Department at Durham University, but the
research will be largely based on materials held at the Bodleian Library
where Professor Clemit will be working. A PhD or about to submit, in a
relevant area of English literary and/or historical studies would be an
advantage. Applicants should also have some experience of work in a major
research library, and good word-processing and IT skills.
Please note that although the post holder will be an employee of Durham
University, he/she will be based in Oxford.
