RESEARCH STATISTICIAN
Salary: UCL Grade 7, currently £25,889 – 31,840 + £2497 London Allowance
depending on qualifications and experience
Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant/Associate
in Medical Statistics within the Department of Primary Care and Population
Sciences, Royal Free Campus. The post is for 12 months and the successful
applicant will join a multidisciplinary team carrying out analyses to
examine the health effects of passive tobacco smoke exposure, using data
from the British Regional Heart Study and the British Women’s Heart and
Health Study, large longitudinal studies investigating the causes and
natural history of cardiovascular disease.
Applicants should have a good first degree, with a postgraduate
qualification in medical statistics (or equivalent discipline). An
interest in the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease, as well as previous
experience in the analysis of large, complex datasets, would be
advantageous. The ability to work unsupervised as well as in collaboration
with other members of a team is essential.
Salary is on the University Research Scale (Grade 7 up to Spine Point 36:
salary from £25,889 to £31,840 plus £2,497 London weighting). Starting
point and grade will be dependent on age, qualifications and experience.
