Division of Primary Care, Trent Research & Development Support Unit (RDSU)
Research Fellow in Medical Statistics (Full or part-time)
A medical statistician with experience in the
provision of advice and support, in collaborative
research and in postgraduate teaching is required
for the above post. The person appointed will
provide advice and support to NHS researchers,
collaborate in the design and analysis of health
services research projects, and take part in the RDSU's teaching programme.
Candidates must possess a PhD in a subject
relevant to health services research and a higher
degree in medical, applied or social
statistics. Research experience, relevant
publications, together with good organisational
and communication skills are essential. Teaching experience is desirable.
Salary will be within the range £24,402 - £30,913
per annum (pro rata for part-time), depending on
qualifications and experience (salary can
progress to £34,793 per annum (pro rata), subject
to performance). This is a full-time post,
however, applications are invited from candidates
wishing to work part-time. The minimum number of
hours that would be operationally possible are
21.6 per week. Please specify in your

post is available immediately, will be offered on
a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2010 and is open to job share.
