*6th July and 31st August 2007: Scanning from Print, Bristol
Provides a practical overview of digitising printed resources using a
scanner or camera within the context of the Copyright Licensing Agency
(CLA) scanning licence.
*18th July 2007: Photoshop - Level 1, Bristol
Introduces Photoshop's interface, tools, basic features and commands.
Technical theory and explanation will be supported through a range of
hands-on activities.
*19th July 2007: Photoshop - Level 2, Bristol
Further develops a working knowledge of Photoshop's tools and commands for
creating and optimising digital images within a practical context.
*1st August 2007: Photoshop - Level 3, Bristol
Primarily aimed at those processing colour critical images and those who
require sophisticated manipulation techniques.
*15th August 2007: Digital Photography - Level 2, Bristol
Aims to provide an introduction to the effective operation of a digital SLR
camera and explains how the camera controls can be used to improve the
user's photography. Also includes how to illuminate small 2D and 3D objects
using tungsten studio lights.
*23rd August 2007: Image Optimisation: Correcting and Preparing Images,
Bristol.
Introducing skills required for correcting digital images and preparing and
preserving them for future use. Previous experience in using image editors
is recommended.
