PhD in Gerontology (full-time or part-time)
Post-graduate Certificate in Gerontology (full-time or part-time)
Short courses in Gerontology (1 week)
The courses commence in October 2007. Student bursaries for 2007-2008 are
available, please enquire.
The courses are interdisciplinary and international in focus, drawing on the
disciplines of social policy, sociology, anthropology, psychology,
demography and health-care sciences. They are aimed at graduates, mid-career
professionals (for example, working in health and social care, local or
national government, geriatric nursing or medicine), as well as returners to
education, and lead on to a fascinating variety of careers, for example in
policy development, social and health care service provision, or the
voluntary sector. The MSc in Gerontology also lays the foundation for future
research, both within higher education or in research institutes and
think-tanks.
