Hi All,
Has anyone ever refused to pay for a GP report on the grounds that it
doesn't contain information requested and is extremely costly. I have
received such a report today on a member of staff who is off sick with
depression. I requested the report on the 2nd May and I have just received
it. It states the employee has not been seen since December 2006 by this
particular partner and only seen by various clinicians who have not
contributed to the report in February 2007. The GP in question cannot
comment on RTW timescale or ability to peform his duties amongst other
things, as I quote "he has not seen anyone within the General Practice for
some months now".
The cost of the report is £125, usually GP reports vary from £50 - £80, I
don't object to paying a reasonable fee, even if it doesn't answer my
questions but this seem excessive.
Many thanks
Nicky Johns
