Dear Colleague
As part of their regional workshop programme, Netskills will be running the following workshops at the Institute of Education, University of London in July
1. Problem Based e-Learning, 3rd July
-----------------------------------------------------
Fed up with passive, page turning e-learning? Engage your learners in active, dynamic, enquiry based e-learning by developing realistic problem solving activities that encourage the application of analytical, creative and critical thinking skills.
2. Effective e-Learning with Moodle, 4th July
-----------------------------------------------------
The Moodle learning environment is becoming increasingly popular in the UK education sector. It is free to use, having been developed through the Open Software model, and is designed using sound pedagogical principles. This workshop introduces Moodle, its main features and demonstrates why Moodle is different from other learning environments. You will be given access to your own installation of Moodle for 4 weeks after this workshop.
3. Assessment Solutions for e-Learning, 5th July
-----------------------------------------------------
Assessment, when used well, has long been recognised as a key element of developing effective learning. The rise in recent years of online assessment has brought a range of assessment tools and techniques into general use. While they provide an important framework to facilitate the delivery of online assessment, questions remain regarding the effective design and development of pedagogically fit online assessment.
