healthcare companies, with statisticians and programmers working in
Research and Development at UK and US sites. We currently have a vacancy
at our Harlow site for an experienced statistician to support the
development of new drugs in our Neurosciences Portfolio.
As one of our Project Statisticians you’ll oversee the statistical input
to one or more of our projects in full clinical development. As a member
of an R&D Project Team, you’ll work closely with physicians, clinical
research scientists, regulatory colleagues and data managers and you’ll
utilise your excellent team-working and planning skills to provide quality
input into international clinical development programmes, including both
the US and Europe. As you do this you’ll have the support of one of the
leading Biostatistics groups in the industry.
As a member of a team of skilled and committed statisticians and
programmers, you will use your statistical expertise to contribute to the
design and analysis of Phase II-IV clinical trials, interpretation of
results, and subsequent use of the results for regulatory submissions and
publications. You may also research innovative statistical methodologies
for study design and analysis to enhance clinical development strategies,
perhaps in conjunction with our in-house research group or our network of
external advisers.

Basic Qualifications-
With at least an MSc in Statistics (or equivalent) you will have
experience working as a statistician within a pharmaceutical or CRO
setting. You will have a proven track record of participating in drug
development project teams, and will have demonstrated an ability to
influence colleagues in other functions, e.g. Medical, Clinical
Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial.
Preferred Qualifications-
Previous experience of interacting with regulatory agencies would also be
an advantage.
