Hi Paul.
Yes I know about this list and many psychiatrists contribute to it, but I
wonder how many on this list do? Sometimes it can be very daunting, for some
people, to contribute to a list that has consultants psychiatrists on it.
There have been significant advances in the relationship between nurses and
psychiatrists for example, and you as a Clinical Nurse Specialist are
testament to this progress.
However, having taught on pre-registration mental health nurse courses for
a year at a previous University, this relationship remains one of 'one up.
one down', and this limits the kind debates that many nurses feel confident
enough to be involved in.
Warm regards
Andrew Duggan
