Hi Tess and Chris (and anyone else who is interested),
The Grid 2 is the communication program to choose for international support!
(Note that I should declare interest here...)
We are excited to have The Grid 2 working in pretty much any language.
We're currently working with a client using the software in Arabic, and
whilst there are a few details to iron out that is mostly supported (we're
waiting for feedback from the client and his family because my Arabic is
non-existent). He is using the Saudi Arabia variant of Arabic, but I
believe that it will work with all variants.
As for Turkish, our German resellers have clients using The Grid 1 in
Turkish, and I believe that The Grid 2 will work equally well (but this is
as yet untested). I'd very much like to give it a go.
A few notes:
- The Grid 2 can be used if you are bilingual, because you can switch
between languages (you can also be trilingual, quadralingual, etc, as
required).
- The Grid 2 has speech available in all these languages (and many more).
- The program itself (i.e. the menus you see when editing or changing
settings) would remain in English, as Arabic and Turkish are not amongst the
12 languages it is currently being translated into. However, the grids
together with the sentences written/spoken can be in any language.
- The "complete" translations of the program include (in no particular
order) French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian,
Belgian Dutch, German, Finnish, Danish and American. Norwegian is already
available, and the other will be released as they are completed.
If you are interested in using The Grid 2 in these languages (or others)
then please get in touch.

Subject: Re: Communication software in Turkish
I am not aware of any yet, but I would also be very interested in
Arabic. I will be in Morocco this summer and will try to see
if there is something available yet.
