Talking to myself, I imagine that the easiest approach is to pick a random
line length (say 80), calculate how many "lines" there are and then simply
write my buffer to the "array" (given that HDS just treats it as a buffer
anyway)....This would work fine so long as I simply use datGet to retrieve
the buffer rather than datGet1C - I can work around that but I'd still be
interested in the answer to the _CHAR*n limit.
