Dear All, Ruth Conroy-Dalton and I are preparing a paper for a
conference in Edinburgh in September on the theme of landscapes and
health. One of the themes we'd like to address is the difficulty or
otherwise of adapting space syntax to landscape settings, where
prospects and vistas are shaped more generously and at a larger scale
than in townscape and where, unlike the urban built environment, the
spatial boundaries of living landscapes change in transparency or
opacity with the course of the seasons. This looks like a good
opportunity to introduce syntax to a new audience. I'd be interested
in hearing if anyone has published an article on space syntax and
landscape settings, especially if it discussed methodology. If so,
could you give me the full reference, so that I could look it up,
refer to it and review it in the presentation. I'm really interested
in accounts that are already in the public domain. Best Regards,
Julienne
