I too was worried by the pressed grass--although where I spent my summers
as a kid that sort of area with bent grass was made by deer (has Arthur
confused Gloriana with the deer in Am 67?!). In fantasy or sci fi pressed
grass is a sign of something at least quasi-material, even if alien. Anne
