Sent on behalf of the Legislation Sub-Committee of the Society of Archivists.
Following on from their previous consultation, the Department for
Constitutional Affairs (now the Ministry of Justice) have extended and
revised the consultation on the Draft Freedom of Information and Data
Protection (Appropriate Fees and Limits) Regulations (link:
http://www.justice.gov.uk/publications/cp2806.htm). The Legislation
Sub-Committee is preparing a response to this further set of questions, and
was wondering if any archives or records management units have any examples
of "disproportionately burdensome requests"? There is no need to provide
specific detail, but general information would be gratefully received. The
committee would be grateful for any responses by the end of May if
possible.
