Records Management Society – Local Government Group
The next meeting of the Local Government Group is taking place on Friday
July 20th 2007 at the Westminster Archives Centre. Directions to the centre
can be found at www.westminster.gov.uk in the Libraries and Archives
section.
The agenda has now been finalised and can be found at http://www.rms-
gb.org.uk/sigs/local-government/meetings/824. The theme for the day will
be “E-mail Management – A Practical Approach”. The day will start with a
series of short presentations outlining how e-mail can be managed inside
and outside EDRMS and a case study outlining how a combination of EDRMS
and e-mail archiving can be used. There will be an opportunity to put your
burning e-mail questions to the speakers. During the afternoon there will
be two breakout sessions, the first looking at selling records management
in induction sessions and the second looking at e-mail best practice.
Robert Chell will then update the group about the Local Authority Business
Process Efficiency Architecture. As always the day will end with the LGG
meeting.
I have had a good take up for this meeting so far, if you have not already
contacted me and would like to attend the meeting please let me know on
[log in to unmask] The meeting is open to all, but preference
will be given to RMS members.
