Apologies for cross posting
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for two Regional Project
Officers who will form a core regional team of the recently HEFCE funded More
Maths Grads initiative. The More Maths Grads Project is a major community-wide
initiative designed to widen participation and increase the number of students
studying the mathematical sciences at university.
Both Officers will contribute to a range of activities, events and resources.
The Subject Officer will be responsible for promoting and increasing
understanding of the wide-ranging applicability of mathematics, and the
Careers Officer will be responsible for demonstrating the wide-range of careers
available to graduates from the mathematical sciences. Both posts will involve
working with students, teachers, University academic staff, employers, and
careers advisors as well as other key stakeholders from across the mathematical
sciences community.
Although both Officers will be based at the University of Leeds, the project will
undertake pilot activities within three regions, and so regular travel, including
potential overnight stays, will be required.
University Grade 7 (£26,666 - £31,840 p.a.)
