Hi Tina –I did some things along these lines cutting up old books
reassembling binding with cut snipped pages –various results-patterns broken
words very visual
But I kept to mainly one type face –now who was the artist poet who had
books at whitechapel (in my travelling days) who selected words out of pages
(my memory is poor!)
Was there also poetry/art books where the pages were say slit across into
three so that you could read different line s
All this sounds a bit tricky to explain n will send you a piccy of one that
I did
Cheers P P

I use a tabloid supplement called 'We Love Telly'. I sift through it for
fonts/colours/words that look interesting and snip them out. I try and put
phrases and words together as they occur to me. I stick them onto paper and
leave them for a few minutes or hours... Then I re-cut/re-stick as
different combinations occur to me (discarding some along the way). When I
feel happy, I post up the text version. This is the second time I've done
this and I find the process very satisfying.
This one took me about five hours but I was doing other things in-between
(including taking a short nap).
Cheers
Tina
