Dear Group
I have recently set up a screening facility for the construction
company I work for and I want to make sure that the storage of there
results is appropriate to the data protection act.
At present a simple health questionnaire and the induction drug and
alcohol testing results are stored in a locked filing cabinet along with
the Health and Safety Managers induction paperwork. All paperwork is
also scanned and stored on a secure company computer system.
I would like to ask should I keep clinical notes/screening paperwork
separate from the H&S Managers paperwork. The access to this paperwork
is only allowed to three designated people, who include the H&S manager,
the H&S Administrator and Myself, but I am concerned that the H&S
Manager and administrator should not be allowed to see sensitive data
either in the filing cabinet or on the computer system.
Can anybody please advise me
Kind regards
Neil Poole
