Dear All,
I'll hope to put forward some constructive thoughts on the technical side
soon.
I feel we should be careful on the political aspects, and should be clear
that funding structures are not the same as research communities when
mentioning MVCE. It is the research that we should be focussing on. I'm not
personally involved in MVCE any more but some colleagues are and I'm in
reasonably close contact with many of the academic members and industrial
sponsors; I'm sure the rest of us are too. These are the people we should
be engaging with, and my priority would be to expand industrial engagement
with MSN/NGN in particular. "Big" wireless lives more in the telco space,
so their aspirations and problems are qualitatively different.

Yes, there are complementarities, overlaps and common applicable points
between MSN/NGN and NGWN, and there are also topics that are less relevant.
A collected response would be good, but it is a question of how. E.g. how
best to engaqe with NGWN; is this really the issue; etc.?
Regards,
Alistair
