Dear colleagues,
I was wondering if anyone could point me to literature on "the Stuart
Hall / Bob Jessop debate" on Thatcherism, which largely took place in
the New Left Review in the mid-1980s. I keep reading about this debate,
but never come across any detailed discussions. The debate has been
ongoing to an extent: I recently came across Bob Jessop's reply -
published in 2004 in the German Das Argument - to Stuart Hall's 2003
"New Labour's Double-Shuffle" in Soundings.
Is anyone aware of publications (by authors besides Hall and Jessop)
that have reflected on / discussed / analyzed this debate?
any help appreciated!
best,
Bas
