Dear All
I am on the Standard Working Group for the new National Information Accreditation Scheme and we have been asked to consult as widely as possible with those who might be interested in commenting on the Scheme and specifically the Standard itself. Please feel free to forward this onto other interested colleagues - it should be of interest to anyone who is responsible for sourcing or producing health information for the public.
The DOH would greatly appreciate it if you can provide them with your comments on the Standard . The "Draft Standard" and "How You Can Contribute to the Development of the Standard" are for sharing with your communities of health and social care information producers. It is your and your communities views that will help them in their goal to develop the best possible Standard for those to whom it will apply.
The closing date for the Consultation is 31st July 2007. The Web Forum address is www.iascheme.org <http://www.iascheme.org/> . This will go live on Wednesday 30th May. (I was not able to send the draft as an attachment to this list but it should be available to view and print from the website later today.)
More information about the Information Accreditation Scheme is available online at the Department of Health website at: http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Policyandguidance/PatientChoice/Choice/BetterInformationChoicesHealth/Informationaccreditation/index.htm <http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Policyandguidance/PatientChoice/Choice/BetterInformationChoicesHealth/Informationaccreditation/index.htm.> .
Many thanks for your assistance.
NB. Please do not send your comments to me but use the discussion forum or the address given with the draft Standard.
