Have you ever wondered how a professional magazine is produced? Are you
under pressure to get a published article on your cv? Are printed journals
old hat?
For our June meeting, Update's Editor will reveal the stories behind the
profession's leading journal, explain how editorial policy works within
conflicting demands and answer questions about writing and publishing.
This is your chance to get the answers to those questions you've always
wanted to ask.
Elspeth Hyams is Editor of Library & Information Update. She has a
background in sales, marketing and PR, has been Deputy Director of the
Booksellers Association, Director of the Institute of Information Scientists
and Editor of the Library Association Record. She currently features on

CILIP in London evening meetings are free and open to all with a
