Salary Details: £18.450 - £20,235 per annum (pay award pending & subject
to job evaluation)

Location: Springwell House. Chesterfield
Are you a highly motivated individual with a detailed knowledge and
understanding of Geographic Information Systems?
Are you innovative, adaptable, have good communication and negotiation
skills both written and oral and are able to work on your own initiative.
Most of all are you keen to be an integral member of the team that is
driving GIS and the development of the Corporate Local Land and Property
Gazetteer throughout the authority in order to improve the way in which it
deals with its customers and delivers services?
Would you like to play a role a team that is changing the way the
authority fundamentally operates and performs? We’re looking for someone
with experience of the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and
MapInfo Pro GIS software.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will offer you the
chance to:
• Be at the forefront of the Council’s spatial data and mapping agenda
• Act as Coordinator for the Corporate LLPG.
• To assist the GIS Officer in the development of GIS in the Council.
Responsibilities include supporting the effective delivery of the T-
Government agenda set out by the ODPM, and for the future development of
efficiency savings for the authority by the implementation of a high
quality Local Land and Property Gazetteer and the growth in the range of
datasets maintained by the authority.
The role presents an excellent opportunity to help the Council’s GIS
development and really make an impact on corporate performance.
