I had just a thought:
Would it be valuable to define the new dcterms:identifier property as
an owl:inverseFunctionalProperty?
This would mean that if two resource descriptions share the same
dcterms:identifier value, then they are the same thing, even if they
have different subject URIs.
Prompted by recent discussions on the zotero-dev list about using URIs
for citation identifiers (particularly in documents). The easier it is
to merge descriptions, it seems to me, the less we're likely to get
tripped up on the "which URI" question. And given we've got these new
dcterms, it might be worth considering.
