It's only a singular solitary day away now. We can barely contain our
excitement, and we're nigh on certain that you're struggling to manage
that swelling bubble of joyous anticipation that's been building up
over the last weeks, days, hours, seconds since you heard about it.
Yes, that's right, tomorrow is the Grunts for the Arts Artists' Sports
Day – you'll finally have the chance to demonstrate that sporting
finesse we are so convinced is lurking inside of you (even if you
yourself have doubts).
The weather's been really quite crap for most of the last few weeks,
but now even the elements have joined the cause and it looks like we
might have some sunshine for our glorious reaction to the Arts Council
Cuts. And if it clouds over, so be it – we'll just have to be our own
little sunbeams…
So come on down to Hackney Marshes from 1 o'clock - bring friends,
bring high heels (for the High Heel 100m), bring a picnic, bring a
mask (for the Celebrity Sack Race), bring CDs (for the musical
events), bring wool and needles (for Durational Knitting Sprints) and
please please please steal/buy/borrow a Twister board so that our
record attempt can go off as we hope it will.
If that's not enough to whet your appetite, check the website for even
more tidbits of palm-sweatening excitement.
See you tomorrow.
Your friends at GFA
