The Intelligent Support for Mathematical Generalisation (ISMG) project
is funded by the EPSRC/ESRC under the Teaching and Learning Research
Programme. The project aims to design, build and evaluate a pedagogical
and technical environment for improving 11-14 year old students'
learning of mathematical generalisation. The project will be based at
the London Knowledge Lab, a unique collaboration between two of the UK's
most prominent centres of world-class research - the Institute of
Education and Birkbeck. For all posts we seek people with a commitment
to research on the improvement of learning, and willing to engage
intellectually and socially in an interdisciplinary team of social and
computer scientists.
