Seen a couple of cocaine related MIs, but a lot of the cases of ACS in young
patients we've had over the last month are unstable angina in fairly low risk
patients with no history of smoking or drug abuse. Overall we've had a slight
decline in STEMIs over the last 10 years- not as much of a decline as in the rest of
the country, but our rate is only about 20 cases per 100k population per year
anyway. Wary of commenting on long term trends in incidence of NSTMI/ ACS as I
think we're picking up cases we would have missed before.
