Others have answered this but my comment is that when I tried playing
with 64-bit XP, I found that various bits of information about the
version of windows used in scripts etc didn't match 32-bit windows. More
like server 2k3 in many cases I recall. Application compatibility has
also been mentioned. 32-bit is probably "safer" but less "exciting". (As
a support person, I'm not keen on "exciting"!)
