Hi,
Someone might have asked the question already, but I just noticed that the "effects of interest" automatically generated in spm2 "Results" or early versions of spm is not generated in SPM5. Why is that? And how is it generated if I want to use adjusted data for DCM analysis?
Your help is appreciated.
Ben

The ROIs created by the function "Create anatomical ROI" are binary masks created from the MPM representation of one or more areas, which are either saved in anatomical or original "SPM" MNI space. These can be used, e.g., for small volume correction or plotting regional responses using MARSBAR.
I'm not sure what you mean by selecting MPM from "all maps" as ROI. Which function are you refering to?
Selecting the individual areas in, e.g., "Calculate image means within anatomical ROIs" (se_ROIextract) or "Functional response of anatomical areas (summary)" (se_Achart), indeed combines the creation and analysis of individual ROIs from the MPM. The difference to using "create anatomical ROIs" is, that the individual ROIs are not saved to disk but only created as a voxel list in memory, which is then used to sample the selected images.
Hope this helps
