Summary
Applications for this highly prestigious Fellowship are invited from
outstanding early career researchers. The Social and Spatial Inequalities
Group ( http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/sasi ) aims to conduct
interdisciplinary research which contributes to an evidence base for
policy development aimed at reducing social inequalities. We seek a
candidate with a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Geography or related
discipline and a record of high quality research. It is anticipated that
the appointee will develop strong links with the University's new
Informatics Collaboratory for the Social Sciences (ICOSS) and with
external organisations. RCUK fellowships are five-year appointments which
then become permanent academic posts following satisfactory completion of
probationary requirements. People holding permanent academic posts are not
eligible to apply. This post is available from 1 October 2007.
