agreed, Mike, teaching physics isn't (necessarily) a political activity. But
"improving media coverage of science", your original stated aim, surely is.
What counts an improvement? By whose criteria? On what authority can it be
established? Who gets to select and frame the stories? Who is entitled to
reply? These are all intensely political questions (and the denial that they
may be political is part of the politics...).
