Peace indeed, Frederick, but for whom?
I found this line telling, as to how you construct these things (&
illustrative in connection to a recent discussion here). Also, an
intriguing connection to what John Clute calls 3rd wave SF (I think:
since his 1st & 2nd waves are the still optimistic versions of the
first 2/3rds of the 20th C). That place you've imagined never possible
even in & for its shades....
