This is just a note to remind you that the 'Women Writing Rape: Literary and Theoretical Narratives of Sexual Violence' symposium (28th April 2007) has set up a companion blog to set up discussions before and after the conference. New topics of discussion on the blog include:
* the artist, Sue Williams (http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/women-writing-rape/entry/about_the_artist/ <http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/women-writing-rape/entry/about_the_artist/> ),
* a discussion of Germaine Greer's views on rape laws in Britain (http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/women-writing-rape/entry/the_difficult_task/ <http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/women-writing-rape/entry/the_difficult_task/> ),
* and a description of the difficult task of telling rape narratives in Pascale Petit's poetry (http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/women-writing-rape/entry/the_difficult_task/ <http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/women-writing-rape/entry/the_difficult_task/> ).
Please feel free to comment on these entries and if you think that you could contribute a blog entry, let me know. Blog entries might include creative work, responses to articles or critics, descriptions of writers' or artists' work and opinion pieces.
Sincerely,
Zoe
