They are certainly canons, and they follow the Rule of St Augustine, but it
is best not to call them Augustinian. (You can call them Norbertines...)
Their whiteness has a Cistercian tinge, although their habits are bleached
rather than unbleached. Interestingly, all Premonstratensian houses are
abbeys, whereas most Augustinian (black canons) ones are priories.
