POSTGRADUATE CONFERENCE
TELEVISING HISTORY: MEMORY, NATION, IDENTITY
We would like to invite postgraduate students to the forthcoming
'Televising History: memory, nation, identity' postgraduate conference
at the University of Lincoln, 13-15 June 2007, which is part of the
AHRC-funded research project 'Televising History 1995-2010'. Plenary
speakers confirmed so far include Dr Andrew Hoskins of the University of
Warwick and Dr Angela Piccini of the University of Bristol.
The general themes of the conference will be:
* The past on TV
* Memory studies
* National and regional identity
* History and education
These can be broadly interpreted and we would like to hear from
researchers working in other fields.
The conference will give you an opportunity to give a short presentation
of your work, allowing you to share your findings with other scholars
researching in related fields. The conference is free for postgraduate
students, and university accommodation and meals will also be provided.
If you would like to attend, please contact Erin Bell:
