(apologies for cross-posting)
Dear all,
This is just a short reminder email to say that spaces are still
available at the pre-inaugural UKCoRR (UK Council of Research
Repositories) workshops. The workshops will be facilitated by the
SHERPA Plus project at two venues in the coming weeks.
*UKCoRR Feeder Workshops*
University of Leeds Monday 24th April 1-4:30pm
LSE, London Tuesday 1st May 9:30am-1pm
http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/guidance/UKCORR_Regional_events.html
These discursive styled events will attempt to isolate the areas of key
concern for repository administrators in a supportive practitioner based
environment.
Topics that will be addressed include:
-The developing role of the repository administrator
-Practical issues, challenges and training needs
-Achieving effective cultural change for Open Access and repositories
-Advocacy and education - the next steps
-The role of a professional organisation - what should UKCoRR do first?
Attendees will have a very real chance to shape what is hoped to be a
vital and dynamic organisation in this crucial and developing area of
scholarly research communication. Refreshments will be provided and no
charge will be made for the events.
To attend contact myself with the venues/dates you would like to attend
or see the following pages for further details.

Spaces are also available at the May 21st University of Nottingham based
inaugural event, although the agenda for the day will be shaped by
discussions at the feeder workshops and during the recent SHERPA
Roadshows.
