Hi Sarah,
I grappled with exactly the same issue, and in fact when I posted a similar query ages ago, some said that it's best not to dwell on the past (so to speak) but instead make use of the extended CV and perhaps mention previous activities in your evaluative statement.
However, there were a couple of things that I did in my last post where I was a library assistant that I was particularly proud of, and, as they both made a real difference to the service, I felt I should include them. My mentor agrees, so I've included them. These were things I did towards the end of my time in that post, so really only a few years ago.
I should point out that I haven't yet submitted, but I do feel quite strongly that all experience is good experience, and provided you can reflect on it in an appropriate manner and perhaps state your rationale for including such items, both myself and my mentor cannot see an issue.
This is just my opinion, however, so others may disagree! Be interested to know what others think.
Best wishes,
Sarah

Hello everyone,
I was just wondering about the fact that if you're following route 1 it
mentions that it should cover 1 year of professional practice. Now does
this mean i can't include anything i've done previously in my career,
and that i can only include the things i'll do in the next year?
