Hello,
I'd like to add to the usage we gather, the price of each resource. However, if it should be relatively easy to proceed for resources that we negociate individually, it seems to become quiet complex for those negociated in consortium.
Indeed, the common deals we have may include: a) a number of 'paper and electronic' titles we can not get rid of (and we have a price for each of these); and b) a full 'big deal' set of electronic only titles for which we pay a global 'e-fee'. But price of b) depends upon the a) set of titles we are forced to keep over the years...
Hence, should I divide the total costs of 'a)+ b)' by total number of titles available through a deal to get a price/unit? It seems rather drastic since price of individually bought titles vary a lot.
How do you proceed in your library ? Does anyone use the tools available on the weblike http://www.journalprices.com/?
Thanks very much for any input you may have
Best regards
