Hi Cliff
Thanks for sharing your list, maybe we can do more of this? At the coal face we
do need lists by database in addition to those by vendor.

I have all of these on my non-COUNTER hit list. The others I have are mostly
small suppliers of specialist databases, but some other medium/large ones it
might be worth targetting are:
the law suppliers
you list Lexis-Nexis as ?
we do get stats by requesting them from our account manager, but they are
absolutely not COUNTER, and not very eaasy to understand either
I would have thought they should have improved the stats when they developed the
new LNB platform.
lawtel & westlaw
We do get stats but only on request from a contact at thomson.com
Naxos
Music Library and Jazz services stats supplied on request from

OUP
You mention Grove Art and Grove Music online, there's also the New Grove
dictionary and Oxford dictionary of National Biography. This seems odd when OUP
journal stats are COUNTER compliant. I wonder if there is a particular
difficulty where vendors offer products which are not bibliogrpahical
databases?
You have CrossFire down as COUNTER compliant. We have a note that they are
COUNTER format but not compliant. Is that why MIMAS does not appear on the
COUNTER vendor list at
http://www.projectcounter.org/articles.html
perhaps peter could advise?

we get stats from http://suite.bvdep.com/admin
I think you might be able to get a login via contacts on
http://www.bvdep.com/en/london&edinburgh.html
I've been lobbying JISC to make supply of stats, preferably COUNTER a standard
part of deals.

quick point about the new list. Reply does not now default to reply to whole
list, just the original sender. I thought it was the whole list previously,
which is probably the most useful.
