The BMA has tried to get this sorted by multiple complaints to the insurance
ombudsman etc.
I raised it with the Professional Fees Committee again last year and they
again wrote to the insurance industry body.
Unless enough of us refuse they will still keep abusing us (have heard that
before somewhere).
This is NOT YOUR PROBLEM

Tried that, but they just stated it's a condition of insurance and they
would not consider a claim without it.
I would be delighted if the BMA would suggest a national boycott.
