An interesting legal one!
Individual levels of freedom as an element of privacy and the potential
contrast/conflict with organisational control/management generally appears
clearly in these types of cases. They were always most helpful in learning
to recognise DP issues which may cause conflict and those which would not
support the intended strategy or organisational culture.
I would guess any parts of an organisation who were overly concerned about
this case would be those which openly practiced dictatorial styles of
management or used high levels of control focusing on the individual, with
any where more covert control mechanism are used probably only finding the
case very interesting.
