friends, one of my colleagues at arizona is interested
in the work that geographers are doing at the intersection
of sexuality and mobility - especially on LGBT as an axis
of difference related to migration.
her name is eithne luibheid and she is associate professor
of women's studies at arizona and director of arizona's
committee on LGBT studies. eithne's note to me is copied
below. please feel free to write to her with your own
research papers and contact suggestions.
thanks for your help. jp

Dear JP,
I am writing to ask for your assistance. I am compiling a bibliography about
scholarship on sexuality and international migration--particularly LGBT
immigration, but also, any scholarship that theorizes sexuality as a distinct
axis that shapes experiences of migration and processes of incorporation. If
you know of scholars in geography who address these intersections, I would
greatly appreciate if you could forward their names and institutional
affiliations. Or if you are aware of published scholarship that addresses these
intersections, could you please let me know?
Long term, I am interested in including geographers in some collaborative
interdisciplinary work I am organizing around this topic.
Many thanks for your assistance.
Best wishes,
Eithne Luibheid
