1. Effective e-Learning with Moodle, 15th May

The Moodle learning environment is becoming increasingly popular in the UK education sector. It is free to use, having been developed through the Open Software model, and is designed using sound pedagogical principles. This workshop introduces Moodle, its main features and demonstrates why Moodle is different from other learning environments.
You will be given access to your own installation of Moodle for 4 weeks after this workshop.
2. Communication and Collaboration for e-Learning, 16th May

Are two heads really better than one? Discover how to use online communication and collaboration to enhance learning and teaching. Topics covered include designing collaborative e-learning, using tools such as blogs, wikis and podcasts and effective group moderation.
3. Detecting & Deterring Plagiarism, 17th May

This practical workshop explores the impact of the web on plagiarism in education, and enables attendees to examine online and other methods of deterring and detecting it.
4. Developing Problem Based e-Learning, 23rd May

Fed up with passive, page turning e-learning? Engage your learners in active, dynamic, enquiry based e-learning by developing realistic problem solving activities that encourage the application of analytical, creative and critical thinking skills.
5. Mobile Learning: Education on Demand, 24th May

Mobile Learning: the next stage of e-Learning, or a whole new learning experience? This workshop explores the principles and practice of m-Learning. It is for anyone who is interested in the application of mobile technologies in education, or those who simply wish to know more about the emerging technologies and potential uses.
